FOR WOMEN ON A GLP-1 MEDICATION

It’s widely known that GLP-1 medications is extremely effective for weight loss. But (because there is always a but), these medications are not able to distinguish between fat and muscle. This means that, along with body fat, many people (especially women over 40) will often lose lean muscle mass in addition to fat. Lean muscle is essential for your metabolism, bone density, balance, posture, and long-term strength.

The good news is, with strength and conditioning training, you can protect (and even add) your muscle while you continue to lose fat!

By lifting weights and challenging your muscles consistently, you’ll be supporting a healthier metabolism, improve your tone, and reduce the risk of feeling weak or “soft” as the scale drops.

If you’re using a GLP-1, strength training isn’t about doing more, it’s about protecting what matters.

This is why we are adding to our strength and conditioning schedule two classes every week strictly for women on a GLP-1 medication.

What you can expect in each class

Each class is 60 minutes and is designed to feel focused, not frantic.

You’ll start with a brief, joint-friendly warm-up to activate key muscle groups.

The main portion of class centers on controlled strength training using dumbbells, cables, bodyweight, and low-impact conditioning. We emphasize proper form, manageable weight, and steady progression.

This is not a high-intensity bootcamp workout. Everything is scalable, so whether you’re new to strength and conditioning training or returning after time away, you’ll feel supported and capable.
